William Turner, the ‘painter of light’, inspired Watercolour Visions, the new Autumn/Winter 2025-2026 collection by Thomas Mason. Turner’s watercolour landscapes and his able use of colour and light have been interpreted in the chromatic palette of fabrics which, when expertly combined, transport anyone who sees them to alluring places rich in chromatic nuance.

Pastel tones come in light blue, green, amaranth and yellow, with a powdery and sophisticated look. Stripes, a must-have of the markedly British-style brand, are combined with small checks and tartan, to arrive at flannels with simple graphics, characterised by blends of colour which range from beige to burgundy.

The finest textiles are made in blends of cotton with wool, silk and cashmere, bringing iconic, prized fabrics in endless chromatic nuances to life. As always, raw materials take centre stage, such as Sea Island, one of the world’s oldest and rarest cotton varieties, Giza 45, the ‘queen’ of all Egyptian cottons, with an exceptionally soft and silky hand feel, and Giza 87, a strain of Egyptian cotton which is perfect for crisp, bright whites.
